Predator Teal BK Rush® Break Cue – No Wrap
The wrapless version of Predator’s Color of the Year BK Rush lets the teal run the full length of the butt. The Predator Teal BK Rush No Wrap has a gloss teal finish, a BK Rush logo with bright teal details, and no grip interrupting it. It’s a limited edition breaker built on the BK Rush formula: REVO BK-R carbon fiber shaft, BK Hybrid tip and a coated Uni-Loc® Steel-Lite pin.
$949, Shaft Included
Billiards Direct sells it for $949, matching Predator’s listed price with the REVO BK-R shaft. You get the complete cue plus 5 REVO cleaning wipes, a microfiber cloth and a REVO soft bag.
Why Go Without a Wrap
A wrapless handle feels the same wherever your hand lands, and it slides easily if you adjust your grip between breaks. Some players say they feel the hit better with nothing between hand and finish. The catch is grip. A gloss handle can get slick when your hand sweats, and on a hard break that’s when you’d notice it. A glove or a quick towel wipe solves it for most people. If you’d rather not think about it, the Sport Wrap version costs $50 more and has a five-zone textured grip.
How the BK Rush Gets Its Power
Two things do most of the work. The REVO BK-R carbon fiber composite shaft is stiff, stays straight and doesn’t break down from repeated hard hits. The BK Hybrid tip is very hard, so it gives up very little energy at contact. Together they send the cue ball off faster for the same effort. That’s the point of a dedicated breaker: a controlled stroke that still opens the rack.
Adjust the Weight
Predator’s Uni-Loc® Weight Cartridge System lets you set the cue anywhere from 18.5 to 20.5 oz, in tenths of an ounce. Heavier adds mass behind the cue ball. Lighter lets you swing faster. It’s worth experimenting, since the right break weight is personal.
Who It’s For
Players who break every other rack in 9-ball or 10-ball get the most out of a cue like this. If you mostly play 8-ball on a bar box and rarely break, a $999-class breaker is more than you need. If you want a breaker you won’t have to replace, and you like the teal, this is a good place to land.
