Predator K Series Classics 2-3 Pool Cue, Burgundy Stained Birdseye Maple, Linen Wrap
The Predator K Series Classics 2-3 has a burgundy-stained birdseye maple forearm over a maple core, with cream diamonds set in black points. The butt is black with cream diamonds in black frames. It has aluminum rings, a black linen wrap and a Uni-Loc Quick Release joint.
Predator’s site lists the 2-3 as discontinued, and it’s sold out here. Our last price was $999. For a traditional-looking Predator you can buy today, the Sang Lee Series 2-2 and 2-3 limited editions are in stock, or the SP2 Palisander 1 at $1,049.
Red, burgundy or wine: same cue
Our listing calls the 2-3 red birdseye maple. FCI Billiards and The Billiard Store call it burgundy. It’s the same cue. The stain is a deep reddish tone that reads red in bright light and closer to burgundy in a dim pool room.
If you’re searching for a used one, try both names, plus “K Series Classics 2-3” or the SKU fragment “KCLA2-3.” Listings for Predator limited editions are often titled inconsistently, and a search for only one color name can miss half of them.
What the K Series Classics are
Predator says the K Series Classics reintroduce some of its most memorable cue designs from the late 1990s and early 2000s, built in the style of traditional American cue work. This is the second generation. They have maple cores with exotic woods and inlays, aluminum rings, a black linen wrap and a Uni-Loc Quick Release joint, and they were sold as a limited production run.
Shafts and weight
Dealers paired it with a 314-3 or Z-3 maple shaft, with REVO carbon fiber and Centro as upgrades. Weight was adjustable, and FCI listed 18 to 21 oz.
