Skee-Ball Hole-E-Moley Electronic Cornhole Board, Carbon Fiber Edition
Hole-E-Moley takes the bag toss everyone knows and puts it on a light-up board. You get nine LED targets instead of one hole, automatic scoring that syncs to an app on your phone, and nine built-in games for up to six players. This is the Carbon Fiber Edition, with a carbon fiber finish on the playfield, and it comes with nine resin pellet bags in a matching carbon fiber theme.
Price: $1,249. In stock.
How it plays
The board has nine targets, and each one lights up. When a bag drops through, the board scores it automatically and sends the score to the Hole-E-Moley app over Bluetooth. Nobody has to keep count or argue about whose bag went in. Players are identified by color in the app, and you can customize them, so a six-person game doesn’t turn into a guessing match.
The nine games that come programmed in:
- 3-In-A-Row
- Pop Corn
- Light ’em Up
- Washers
- Corn Holy
- Corn’er Shot
- Color Battle
- Chase the Dragon
- Horse Play
It’s one board, and it isn’t regulation
Two things worth knowing before you buy:
- You get one board, not a pair. Traditional cornhole uses two boards facing each other. Hole-E-Moley is a single 9-target board with nine bags, and the games are designed around that.
- It’s not a regulation cornhole board. The American Cornhole Association specifies a 24 x 48 inch board with one 6-inch hole. Hole-E-Moley measures 26 x 42 inches and has nine targets. That’s fine for parties and family game nights. If you’re practicing for a cornhole league, you’ll want a regulation set as well.
Phone, battery and charging
Scoring runs through a free app for iOS and Android, connected by Bluetooth, so plan on having a phone or tablet nearby. The board runs on a rechargeable battery rated for 10+ hours of play, and the charger is in the box. Charge it the night before an all-day tailgate and it should last.
Indoors, outdoors and storage
Hole-E-Moley is made for indoor or outdoor play: the backyard, the garage, a basement game room. Retailers describe it as weather-resistant, not waterproof. Don’t leave it out in the rain or overnight, and bring it inside when the game is done. A built-in carrying handle makes that easier. The board weighs 45 pounds.
Build
The board is made of plywood, aluminum and plastic, with a carbon fiber finish. It’s handcrafted in the USA, and it arrives needing some assembly.
Carbon Fiber Edition vs. the standard Hole-E-Moley
Both are the same 9-target board at the same price. The Carbon Fiber Edition adds the carbon fiber finish and carbon-themed bags. The standard version is listed here and is currently out of stock.
Warranty
The Hole-E-Moley comes with a 1-year limited warranty covering parts and labor.
