Predator – Sport 2 “Shorty” – Short Pool Cue – Sport Wrap – Purple

Predator Sport 2 Shorty 52-Inch Short Pool Cue, Purple, Sport Wrap

The Predator Sport 2 Shorty is a 52-inch pool cue that Predator made for tight spaces and junior players. This one has a purple metallic-finish forearm with the Sport 2 and Predator cat logos, a black sports wrap handle, a black butt cap with a silver Predator logo, and Predator’s ONE low-deflection shaft on a Mini-Radial joint.

Status: discontinued by Predator, sold out at Billiards Direct. We’ve kept the page up because people still search for it, and the notes on length, joint and weight help when comparing other short cues.

Can an adult use the Shorty?

Yes, and plenty of adults buy one. It’s not a kid’s toy cue. It has a Predator low-deflection shaft and a real joint, so it hits like a playing cue. Adults use it for shots against a wall or a column, in bars with cramped tables, or on a 7-foot table squeezed into a basement.

The thing to expect is a different feel. With six inches less butt, your grip hand sits closer to the balance point, and long power shots feel different from your full-length cue. Most adults keep it for problem shots instead of making it their main cue.

A real Predator shaft

The Shorty wasn’t a toy cue with a Predator sticker on it. It came with Predator’s ONE shaft, a low-deflection design, so side spin pushes the cue ball off line less than a standard shaft would. For a beginner, that makes aiming with English a little more forgiving.
