The Lucasi LC4 is a 2 butt, 4 shaft soft case in brown leatherette with black accents. It has two large pockets, three medium pockets and a side-zip pocket, a shoulder strap, a reinforced handle and a lay-flat design. MSRP is $116.

Lay-flat design

The LC4 opens to lie flat, so you can see both cues and all four shafts at once instead of pulling them out one by one. That’s handy when you carry two shafts for one cue and want to grab the right one fast, and it helps you notice a missing joint protector before you leave.

Who it’s for

A 2×4 fits a playing cue with an extra shaft plus a break cue. That’s the most common kit for league players. If you don’t play with a dedicated break cue yet, a 2×4 still leaves room to add one later.
