The Viper Dead On is a regulation 17.75-inch compressed sisal dartboard with galvanized triangular spider wire, a staple-free bullseye and a rotating number ring. It comes with mounting hardware, dartboard levelers, a throw line and a measuring tape, so you can hang it and mark your distance the same day.

Triangular wire

The Dead On’s spider wire is triangular in profile. The shape is designed to help darts that clip the wire slide into a segment, which can reduce bounce-outs.

Setup tips

• Use the included measuring tape to set the board height and throw line distance.
• The levelers help keep the board straight on the wall.
• Rotate the number ring now and then so wear spreads across the board.

Steel tip or soft tip?

GLD says the Dead On can be used with both steel tip and soft tip darts. It’s a sisal board, though, so steel tips are what it’s built for.
