Predator Air Rush Tiger Eye Jump Cue, Sport Wrap
The Air Rush Tiger Eye is part of Predator’s limited-edition Tiger Eye collection: a metallic amber-bronze finish with shimmering bands that catch the light, the same look as the Tiger Eye BK Rush break cue. This one has a sport wrap with black, bronze and bright silver details. Under the paint it’s a regular Air Rush, with an Air REVO carbon composite shaft, a 14 mm phenolic tip with a carbon fiber shield, no ferrule and a Uni-Loc Steel-Lite Quick Release joint.
It’s $659 and in stock.
Tiger Eye or rose gold? Same cue
If you’ve been searching for a “rose gold” Predator, this is probably what you’re after. Predator sells the line as Tiger Eye, but its own image files for these cues are labeled rose gold, and the matching BK Rush carries “RSE GLD” in its manufacturer SKU. Some dealers, Seybert’s and Canada Billiard among them, list the collection as “Tiger Eye Rose Gold.”
Predator describes the color as a metallic amber-bronze, so don’t expect pink. Screens also render metallic finishes differently, so the photos may look warmer or cooler than the cue in your hand.
Setting it up for the shot
The cue breaks down into a 29-inch shaft, an 11.25-inch forearm and an 11.25-inch handle. Three pieces gives you 51.5 inches and 12.1 oz for jumps that need length. Two pieces gives you 40.25 inches and 8.1 oz, which is what most players use for tight, steep jumps. Either way you’re above the 40-inch minimum most league rules require.
Sport wrap or wrapless
Jumping puts the cue at a steep angle with a quick, short stroke, and a grip helps your hand stay planted. That’s the case for the sport wrap. The Tiger Eye Air Rush without a wrap costs $60 less and shows more of the bronze finish. Pick the wrap if your hand ever slides, pick no wrap if it doesn’t.
