What a Sneaky Pete is

A Sneaky Pete is a cue built to look like a plain one-piece house cue. That’s the tradition of the name: a player could walk into a room with what looked like a bar cue and play with a quality two-piece. The classic look is a light forearm spliced into a darker handle with simple points, no flashy inlays.

Predator’s 8-Point Sneaky Pete keeps that idea but adds eight true-splice points with layered veneers, so it reads as a classic cue up close. It still pairs Predator’s modern Radial joint and weight system with the old-school look.

Shafts and weight

Dealers offered it with a 314-3, Z-3 or Centro shaft, or REVO carbon in 11.8, 12.4 or 12.9 mm. Weight ran from 18 to 21 oz. Because the joint is Radial, it takes Predator Radial-pin shafts.

Linen wrap

Black linen is the traditional wrap for this style. It’s dry and grippy and absorbs a little moisture. Over years of play it compresses and darkens, and a cue shop can rewrap it when it’s worn.
