Predator SP2 Green Stained Curly Maple 2 Pool Cue
On the Predator SP2 Green Stained Curly Maple 2, the whole forearm is wood. Predator takes curly maple, stains it green and leaves the grain open, so the tiger-stripe figure runs the full length of the forearm. Matte black points cut into it, and each point carries a Predator panther inlaid in the same green maple.
Lay it next to most modern cues and the difference is obvious. A lot of today’s cues are painted or wrapped in solid colors. This one looks like a piece of furniture that happens to play pool.
Price and What Comes With It
We list the SP2 Green 2 at $1,049, the price on Predator’s own website. That figure covers the butt and a REVO® carbon fiber shaft, so you’re not buying a shaft separately. The REVO comes in three diameters: 11.8, 12.4 and 12.9 mm. The price is the same for all three. Pick yours in the Shaft Choice menu, then set your tip and weight.
Is This the “1” or the “2”?
This is the 2. The simplest way to tell them apart is to look at the forearm.
- SP2 Green 2 (this cue): green stained curly maple forearm, matte black points, green maple panther on each point.
- SP2 Green 1: matte black forearm, green maple points, black panther.
Everything below the forearm is the same on both. If you want the wood to carry the look, get the 2. If you’d rather have a mostly black cue with green accents, the 1 is the better fit.
How the Stain Looks Up Close
Curly maple has a rippled grain that catches light at different angles. Staining it green rather than painting it keeps that effect. Tilt the cue and the stripes seem to move. Because the figure comes from the tree, the pattern on your forearm won’t match the photos exactly. Some butts show tight, even stripes. Others are wilder. Either way, it’s the wood you see, not a decal.
What Sits Under the Stain
Predator builds the SP2 on its C4+ core. Rather than turning the butt from one blank, Predator splices four pieces together, which keeps the butt straight over time and lets it tune the hit. The SP2 plays firm. You feel the cue ball leave the tip cleanly, without a lot of vibration coming back up the butt. That’s what Predator means by “pure positive feedback” on its spec sheet.
Wrap, Joint and Weight
The handle is an extended Uni-Loc® Leather Luxe™ wrap, longer than a typical wrap, so a forward grip on bridge or rail shots still lands on leather. The joint is Predator’s Uni-Loc® Quick Release™, which takes any current Uni-Loc shaft if you add a second shaft later.
It ships at 19 oz. Predator’s Uni-Loc® Weight Cartridge System adjusts it from 18.5 to 20.5 oz in 0.10 oz increments, so you can match the weight of your current cue.
Tall Player? Ask About the 30″ Butt
Our listing is the standard 29″ butt. Predator also builds the SP2 Green 2 with a 30″ butt for $50 more. That extra inch helps players who grip far back or stand well over six feet, because it keeps the back hand on the wrap instead of off the end. Predator showed the 30″ in stock when we posted this cue. Give us a call and we’ll order one for you.

Picking a REVO Diameter
Most players land on 12.4 mm. It’s close to the size of a standard maple shaft, so the change feels small. Choose 11.8 mm if you like a slim shaft and want the least cue-ball squirt on English. Go 12.9 mm if your hands are large or you’re used to a thicker shaft. You can always add a second REVO in a different size later, since the joint takes any of them.
Who Should Buy It
Players who want a cue that looks handcrafted, without paying custom-cue prices, will like the SP2 Green 2. So will anyone who already plays a REVO and wants a butt that stands apart from the usual black and carbon look. If you’d rather keep the wood quieter, the SP2 Green 1 puts the green in the points only.
Questions We Get About This Cue
How much is the Predator SP2 Green Stained Curly Maple 2?
$1,049, which includes a REVO carbon fiber shaft. That matches Predator’s listed price.
Will my forearm look exactly like the pictures?
Close, but not exactly. Curly maple figure varies from piece to piece, so the stripe pattern on your cue will be its own.
Can I get it with a maple shaft instead of REVO?
Not on this listing. It’s sold with a REVO. If you want a 314-3 or Vantage instead, call us and we’ll quote it.
How is the 2 different from the SP2 Green 1?
The 2 has the green maple forearm and black points. The 1 flips that, with a black forearm and green points.
Is there a case included?
No. Predator ships the cue with cleaning supplies and patches, but not a case.
How many were made?
Predator sells it as part of its Limited Edition SP2 lineup but hasn’t released a production number.
