Predator Sport 2 Amp Black Pool Cue, Sport Wrap, Radial
The Predator Sport 2 Amp in this setup has a black matte maple forearm, the blue and gray Sport 2 logo, and Predator’s black five-zone sports wrap. It’s a four-piece hard maple butt with Predator’s Radial joint and the Uni-Loc Weight Cartridge System, sold with your choice of Predator low-deflection shaft.
Before you go further: Predator has discontinued the Sport 2, and this version is sold out here. Predator’s own site lists it as discontinued, and Seybert’s marks its Sport 2 Radial models the same way. If you want a Sport 2 now, we still have two Volts: the sports wrap with Uni-Loc QR at $779 and the wrapless Radial at $699.
Radial or Uni-Loc QR: which one is this?
This Amp has Predator’s Radial joint, not the Uni-Loc Quick Release found on some other Sport 2 cues. The two look similar from across the room, but the shafts aren’t interchangeable. A Radial butt takes Radial-pin shafts. A Uni-Loc shaft won’t thread on, and the reverse is true too.
Why pick Radial? If you already own a Predator shaft with a Radial pin, it will fit this butt, so you can keep the shaft you know. If you’re starting from nothing, either joint works fine. Just buy future shafts to match.
Four pieces of maple
Rather than turning the butt from a single blank, Predator splices four pieces of hard maple together. That’s an older cue-making approach meant to keep the butt straight and stable. The Amp shares everything with the Volt except color (white on the Volt). There’s an etched stainless butt cap at the end.
The shaft question
No Sport 2 shipped with a generic shaft. Each one went out with a Predator low-deflection shaft, usually 314-3 or Z-3 maple, sometimes a REVO. On a Radial butt, the shaft needs a Radial pin. Less deflection makes aiming with spin more predictable.

Sport 2 Amp Sport Wrap Radial FAQ
Is the Predator Sport 2 Amp discontinued?
Yes. Predator lists the Sport 2 as discontinued, and this version is sold out here.
Will my Uni-Loc REVO shaft fit the Sport 2 Amp Radial?
No. This butt has a Radial joint and needs a Radial-pin shaft. Uni-Loc shafts fit the Uni-Loc QR versions of the Sport 2.
What’s the difference between the Sport 2 Amp and Volt?
Color. The Amp is black and the Volt is white. The build is identical.
Which Sport 2 cues are still in stock?
The Volt with sports wrap and Uni-Loc QR ($779) and the wrapless Volt Radial ($699). See our Predator Sport 2 cues page.
Is the Sport 2 a good first Predator?
It was built as an entry point to Predator’s low-deflection shafts, and a lot of players bought it for that reason.
