Predator Air Rush Purple Jump Cue, Sport Wrap
The Predator Air Rush Purple is the limited-edition color of Predator’s Air Rush jump cue: a purple forearm with a gold Air Rush logo and a sport grip with gold accents. Underneath it’s the standard Air Rush, with an Air REVO carbon composite shaft, a 14 mm phenolic tip, no ferrule and a Uni-Loc Steel-Lite Quick Release joint.
It’s in stock at Billiards Direct for $659, the same price as every other sport wrap Air Rush.
A limited run that’s hard to find
The purple Air Rush is a limited edition (that’s how PoolDawg and FCI Billiards list it), and when we checked in October 2026 it showed sold out on Predator’s own store and at both of those dealers. We have five. Once those are gone, we don’t know if or when Predator will make more.
If purple isn’t a must, the black Air Rush with sport wrap plays exactly the same. You can see every color on our Predator Air Rush jump cues page.
Sport wrap or no wrap on a jump cue?
A jump stroke is short and fast, and you’re usually holding the cue higher and more upright than on a normal shot. Some players find a bare handle slides in a sweaty hand at that angle. The sport wrap is a textured grip that stays put, and that’s the main reason people pick it over the wrapless Air Rush, which costs $60 less.
If you already jump with a wrapless cue and like the feel, there’s no performance reason to switch. If your hand creeps on the handle during a jump, the wrap is worth it.
Setting it up as a two-piece or three-piece
The Air Rush comes apart into shaft, forearm and handle. Screw all three together and you get a 51.5-inch, 12.1 oz cue for long jumps or when you need more reach over a blocker. Leave the handle off and it’s 40.25 inches and 8.1 oz, which is the setup most players use for steep, short-distance jumps. Both lengths clear the 40-inch minimum most league rules set for jump cues.
