Description

BBO Lumen HD LED Poker Table: 10 Players Plus a Dealer

The Lumen HD is BBO’s lighted kidney-shaped poker table, and it’s one of the most popular tables BBO makes. It seats ten players around a dealer position, wraps the rail in a color-changing LED strip you control with a remote, and sits on a solid wood Napa pedestal base. It’s 101.5 inches long and 46 inches wide. The armrest sits at 30.5 inches and the playing surface at 28 inches. With the optional dining top on, it becomes a dining table.

If you host a real game with nine or ten regulars, this is a table built for that. If your game is four friends on a Friday, it’s more table than you need.

The LED lighting: what it does and doesn’t do

The LED trim runs around the table under the armrest. It’s waterproof and controlled by remote, with 16 colors, adjustable brightness and five modes: constant, flash, strobe, fade and smooth. Most owners set a single color and leave it on constant, which gives the room a low glow that looks great with the overhead lights dimmed.

Here’s what nobody mentions until the table arrives: the lights need power. The table plugs into any standard US outlet, but poker tables live in the middle of the room, and outlets live on the walls. If the cord has to cross a walkway, you’ll want a flat cord cover or a floor outlet so nobody trips over it on the way to the fridge. Plan the spot with the outlet in mind before delivery day.

Seating and room size

BBO rates the Lumen HD for 11 positions: ten players and a dealer. The kidney shape gives the dealer a cutout in the middle of the long side, so the dealer can reach every seat without leaning across the felt. That’s how casino tables are laid out, and it makes a real difference in a home game where someone is dealing every hand.

For room size, a common guideline is to leave at least 3 feet of clearance around a poker table so players can pull their chairs back and people can walk behind them. With the Lumen HD’s 101.5 x 46 inch footprint, that works out to a room at least 14’6″ long and 9’10” wide. That’s a minimum. A dining room with a hutch or a game room with a bar along one wall needs more.

Turning it into a dining table

BBO offers a black gloss dining top for the Lumen HD, and we sell it as an option on this page. The top measures 106.5 by 58.5 inches, which is bigger than the table itself. Keep that in mind when you measure your room. The top hangs past the armrest by about 2.5 inches at each end and around 6 inches on each side, so your walkway shrinks a bit when the table is in dining mode.

One more detail matters if you plan to use the dining top. BBO says cup holders must be added when you order a dining top. Talk to us before you order so your table is set up correctly.

Playing surface and armrest

The armrest is a padded, oversized rail that’s comfortable for a long tournament. On our site you can choose the felt color (red, green, blue or black) and the felt grade: standard velveteen, or an upgraded waterproof cloth for $79 more. If drinks and snacks are part of your game night, the waterproof cloth is the easy upgrade to make.

BBO also builds custom playing surfaces with your own graphics and logos. Those are special orders, so call us if you want one.

Weight and setup

BBO lists the assembled weight at 160 pounds. The solid wood pedestal base keeps it steady without the wobble you get from folding legs. Because it’s a pedestal, there are no corner legs to bang your knees on, which helps on a table this size where players sit close together.

Chairs

You can add a set of 10 chairs, in black dining chairs or beige lounge chairs. The lounge chairs are the more comfortable choice for long sessions. The dining chairs suit a table that spends most of its time as a dining table.

Lumen HD or another BBO table?

  • Elite Alpha: BBO’s other LED table, built to double as a furniture-grade dining table.
  • Prestige X: a 108-inch kidney table for 10 players plus a dealer, without the LED trim.
  • Ginza: a smaller LED table for 8, better for tighter rooms.
  • Aces Pro: a folding-leg table you can put away after the game.
