Green has always looked right on a pool cue. It’s the color of the cloth, after all. The Predator True Splice 16 Green/Yellow uses it on sixteen spliced points set into a black ebony butt. Every point is edged with four veneers, green, black, light green and yellow, around a center of Ivorine and ebony. You’ll find eight points on the forearm and eight on the sleeve. An Ivorine collar and butt cap with the Predator logo close out each end, and silver rings frame a black lizard-grain leather wrap.

Price and What’s Included

It’s $1,688 at Billiards Direct, the same price Predator lists. A REVO® carbon fiber shaft comes with the cue. You can go with the standard 12.4 mm, the slimmer 11.8 mm or the thicker 12.9 mm, and none of them add to the cost. After that, choose your tip and weight.

A True Full Splice

On a spliced cue the points aren’t decoration laid into the surface. They’re V-shaped sections cut deep into the forearm and joined to it. That’s how the great traditional cues were made, and it’s what gives a full-splice cue its solid feel. Predator’s TrueSplice construction follows the same idea, with precise seams that stay tight. With sixteen points, there’s a lot of splicing going on in this butt.

Green and Yellow on Ebony

This is the brightest of the four TS16 colorways. Deep green and light green carry most of the color, and the yellow line gives the points a sharp edge where they meet the Ivorine. The ebony is dark enough that the greens really stand out. It looks especially good under table lights, where the colors match the felt.

Radial Joint and Weights

Predator fits the TS16 with its Radial® joint, and your included REVO has the matching Radial joint. The cue comes at 19 oz from the factory. The Uni-Loc® Weight Cartridge System lets you adjust it from 18.5 to 20.5 oz in small steps.
