Purple and pink on black ebony isn’t a combination you see on many traditional cues, and that’s what makes this Predator True Splice 16 stand out in the rack. The layout is classic. There are eight spliced points on the forearm and eight on the sleeve, sixteen total. Each point is trimmed with veneers of purple, black, dark pink and light pink, with Ivorine and ebony at the core. Ivorine also forms the collar and butt cap, which wears the Predator logo. Silver rings sit at each end of the black lizard-grain leather wrap.

This cue is $1,688 here, matching Predator’s listed price. It ships with a REVO® carbon fiber shaft. Pick 11.8, 12.4 or 12.9 mm in the shaft menu. All three cost the same. Then pick a tip and playing weight.

Why Splicing Matters

Lots of cues have “points.” Most are inlays, a thin piece of contrasting material set into a shallow pocket. A splice goes much deeper. The point is a full V of wood cut into the forearm, so it’s part of the cue’s structure, not just its surface. Predator’s TrueSplice method does this with clean, tight seams. Spliced cues have a reputation for a solid, connected hit, and it’s a big reason the style has lasted so long.

About This Color Scheme

The purple lines blend into the dark ebony, and the pinks bring the brightness, giving each point a lit-up edge. It’s the boldest of the four TS16 colorways, and it still reads as a traditional spliced cue rather than a novelty.

Like the rest of the TS16 line, this one uses Predator’s Radial® pin. The REVO that comes with it is fitted with a matching Radial joint. Standard weight is 19 oz. With the Uni-Loc® Weight Cartridge System you can adjust it between 18.5 and 20.5 oz.
